RNIB Research Library

RNIB Research Library is Europe's largest, most comprehensive and diverse collection of print and electronic materials about partial sight and blindness.

It is open to anyone with an interest in the field of sight loss.

We have public PCs with JAWS and Zoomtext software for general use by blind and partially sighted visitors, and for research purposes by sighted users. There are also OCR scanning, audiovisual and photocopying facilities.

Use our Online catalogue to search over 22,000 books, pamphlets, journals, reports, offprints and videos on all aspects of sight loss. Short abstracts are provided for many items, including journal articles.

Many items can be borrowed by residents in the UK and Republic of Ireland.

If you wish to visit the Research Library, we recommend that you ring first so we can help you get the most out of your visit. Opening hours and contact details
