Backing Ben for victory
Ben is 11 years old and lives in Canterbury. Despite being born with macular dystrophy, he's always loved sport. But losing his sight has made it impossible for him to achieve his full sporting potential at school.
Our supporters help to fund a team of co-ordinators who organise a wide range of sports clubs and events. After joining one of these clubs, Ben quickly developed into the star player of the football team. He also won two medals at a regional athletics competition day, where he was up against sighted and visually impaired children. What an achievement!
