Simmons & Simmons the leading international law firm chose RNIB to be its Charity of the Year in 2007/08 for the London branch.
With book and cake sales, a client quiz, a 'slave' auction, a wine-tasting evening and many more imaginative events, members of the firm raised a total of more than £21,000 to help blind and partially sighted people.
They continue to support RNIB's work for blind and partially sighted people.
"We initially adopted RNIB as our Charity of the Year for 2007/08 and have, since then, been acting for them on a number of pro bono matters. We are delighted that our pro bono work for RNIB has increased dramatically with a number of new pro bono matters taken on in the latter half of the year ranging from corporate law advice, to intellectual property and telecoms matters."
