Vodafone the world's largest telecommunications company supported RNIB in 2010 by sponsoring the Techshare Mobile event.
Techshare is a series of pan-disability assistive technology events which aim to develop the assistive technology field to support end users.
Assistive technology can be defined as any item, equipment, product or service which increases, maintains or improves functional capabilities of individuals with disabilities.
Techshare conferences are supported by partners who work with us to develop and deliver the conference, providing a valuable contribution to, and steer on, the content of the event.
The 2010 Techshare Mobile conference held at the ICC in Birmingham was the perfect opportunity for Vodafone to promote Vodafone Speak - a new service providing accessibility to blind and partially sighted people.
Attended by over 100 delegates, the event was a great success. The sponsorship support provided to us by Vodafone ensured the greatest exposure for both RNIB and Vodafone's exciting new service.
The sponsorship generated increased interest in the conference and also helped RNIB to cover the cost of running the event.
