Help accessing the Members only area

Access denied message

Not an RNIB Member

If you get an 'Access denied' message when you try to access the Members only area, the most likely reason is that you're not an RNIB Member yet.

You'll need to become an RNIB Member, and make sure the email address you supply when you join matches the email address you used when you registered with the website.

If you're not yet registered with the website, you will need to register with the website - make sure you use the same email address that you use when you become an RNIB Member!

Already an RNIB Member

If you're already an RNIB Member, there are two reasons you could be getting the 'Access denied' message:
  1. You only recently became a member. It takes up to two weeks to sort out your permission to access the online Members only area. Please wait and try again in a couple of weeks.
  2. The email address you use to login to the website doesn't match the email address you gave when you became a member. You'll need to change your email address with our Membership team (email membership@rnib.org.uk). It'll then take up to two weeks to grant you access to the online members only area.
If you've been a member for more than two weeks and the email address you used when you registered with the website matches the email address that you gave when you became an RNIB Member, please contact our Membership team.

Not sure if you're a member

If you're not sure whether you're a member or not, you should contact our Membership team.

Forgotten password

To get to the Members only area, you'll need to use the email address and password that you put in the form when you registered with the website.

If you've forgotten your password, follow these steps:
  1. Click on the link to log in.
  2. Click on the link that says 'I forgot my password - please send me a new one'.
  3. Type in the email address that you registered with (be careful with the spelling!) and click on the 'Submit' button.
  4. You'll be sent an email (from noreply@rnib.org.uk) with a new password in it. The password will be a string of numbers. This email may go into your junk/spam/quarantine folder.
  5. If you want to change the new password to something more memorable, follow the steps for how to change your password.

Forgotten email address

Website

If you can't remember the email address you used when you registered with the website, the easiest thing to do is to try your various email addresses in the login form - one of them is bound to work!

If you still can't work out which of your email addresses you registered with, send an email to webteam@rnib.org.uk. Please include your first name and last name. We're a small and very busy team, so if you can try out your email addresses first before contacting us that would be much appreciated!

Membership

If you can't remember which email address you gave our Membership team when you became an RNIB Member, please contact our Membership team.
