Have you ever wondered what a blog is? The word 'blog' comes from (sort of) joining together the words 'web' and 'log'. Blogs are usually written by a single person to provide opinions, commentaries, diaries, updates or logs. The topics are endless - people blog about events, products, services, ideas, skills, hobbies and much more! Visitors to blogs can usually comment on blog posts.
RNIB blogs
At the moment, we have three blogs:
The
Web Access Centre blog provides regular updates from our experts on website accessibility and online communication. This includes posts and comments on many topics including software, access technology, web standards and training.
The
TechKnowMore blog covers all the latest news and developments in the world of modern technology. As well as listing events and reviewing new products, there are also awards for the best website and application of the month.
The
Mind's Eye blog is written by and aimed at blind and partially sighted young people. It covers a wide range of topics including leaving home, starting college or university, looking for employment, free time, ICT and gadgets, plus emotional support during tough times.
Anyone can read our blogs, but to comment on blog posts you must first
register with the website.
