South West. Would you like to help blind and partially sighted people in your local area use their computer, mobile phone or television? We have a network of Technology Support volunteers around the country who help set up and fix technology for people with sight loss. We need Volunteer Coordinators who can act as the crucial link between our central Volunteering Team and volunteers in their local area. Opportunity available in Bristol and Bath, Cornwall - South and West, Devon - North and Mid, Exmoor, Devon- South East, Plymouth and East Cornwall, Poole and Bournemouth, Salisbury, Somerset Levels - Taunton, Southampton and the New Forest, Swindon.
We are a small, busy team providing practical help to support blind and partially sighted people to live independently. Your administration skills, friendly telephone manner and passion will enable us to make client feedback central to the way we help, ensuring our team supports blind and partially sighted people in the best possible way. Action for Blind People are looking for volunteers to provide support to children and young people with a visual impairment, on our residentials. The residentials are an opportunity for 8-17 year olds to experience new and exciting activities, make new friends and enjoy a break away from home. We require volunteers to support the children and young people throughout the week and help the staff host a fun, safe and memorable experience.
Campaign Co-ordinators will act as RNIB's main local contact for individuals and groups wanting to become involved in campaigning for better services or opportunities for blind or partially sighted people in their area. Do you believe blind and partially sighted people should have the same opportunity to work as their sighted peers? Our job clubs exist to help blind and partially sighted people prepare for the workplace, search for roles and gives them a helping hand into employment. We need your help to facilitate these clubs. Can you build a rapport with people and put them at ease? Would you enjoy assisting blind and partially sighted people to continue to live their lives independently? Would you be able to help people claim the benefits they are entitled to? If so, then Action for Blind People's busy local team urgently needs you to help people stay independent and to guide them through the benefits maze. Opportunity available in Exeter.
The role may involve driving clients to services or drive blind or partially sighted volunteers to enable them to carry out their volunteer role. Opportunity available in Christchurch, Dorset.
