Are you interested in building self-confidence in people with sight loss and learning difficulties by giving them the chance to develop independent living skills and gain new experiences? RNIB Visual Impairment and Learning Disabilities (VILD) Service supports people with sight problems and learning disabilities and those who work with them. Opportunity available in Kirkcaldy.
RNIB Scotland provides comprehensive services to blind and partially sighted people within the Ayrshire area. It also provides a wide range of activities and services supported by volunteers. Volunteers assist with social and special interest groups. Opportunities exist in a variety of locations for lively people to have social contact with blind or partially sighted clients. Opportunity available in Ayrshire.
Having gained enough knowledge through personal experience or RNIB training, you are able to direct, or give information to clients. This could be through events, exhibitions, via the telephone or through personal contact, for example reading through with them appropriate publications or leaflets. You will be patient, flexible with a thirst for more knowledge as constant research is required. Opportunity available in Ayrshire.

We need confident and friendly volunteers to help us provide information to blind and partially sighted people. This could be through events, exhibitions, drop in clinics or through personal contact, for example reading through with them appropriate publications or leaflets. RNIB Scotland is offering internship opportunities for blind and partially sighted school, college and university leavers. We want you to gain experience working in a number of service areas and develop a collection of transferable business skills. Our aim is to provide valuable practical experience that will develop the skills and competencies interns need to develop their future careers. Opportunities are available in various service areas to suit candidates with different levels of experience and from varied fields of study. Opportunity available across Scotland.
We need an enthusiastic volunteer to assist our Area Fundraiser with a variety of interesting admin tasks to support the efforts of our local volunteer Fundraising Groups. Opportunity available in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire and will be suitable for travel from North Ayrshire, South Ayrshire.
Do you have a cheerful attitude and are you able to work as part of a team? We need friendly volunteers to assist in the running of our fully accessible internet café for blind and partially sighted people. We require help in the kitchen, preparing food, cleaning and waiting on tables. Experience in cash handling and how to use a cash register would be advantageous.
