Continuing with braille

Our range of 'Continuing with braille' courses are designed to help children and young people progress through to learning the completed contracted braille code.

Choose the right course for you

We offer three courses:
Take off - develops phonic skills, and knowledge of braille contractions and wordsigns. It also encourages enjoyment of reading and writing. The course takes the learner to the end of contracted (grade 2) braille.

Abi books - these stories feature the adventures of a six-year old blind girl. A print version of the text appears on facing pages to encourage paired reading, and enables parents and others to enjoy the books with the braille learner.

Get going - the Get going scheme is designed for the learner who needs to progress at a slower pace.
