Campaigning, fundraising and partnerships: Employment

From sharing the news about our campaign messages to helping us raise much needed funds, we would love to tell you how your organisation can get involved and support our work.

Here are some of the ways you can help us to reduce discrimination and make the UK a better place to work for blind and partially sighted people.

Encourage your staff to get involved

There are so many ways that your staff can get involved - from payroll giving to staff volunteering and fundraising events. Running marathons, blindfold and braille events, cake sales, wine tasting... These are all fun opportunities to raise money for RNIB.

Taking part in employee fundraising can have great benefits for companies and their staff. Not only can it help to bring staff together and motivate them, it can also encourage teamwork and loyalty across the organisation.

Help with your fundraising

We can tailor individual skills packages to fulfil your specific requirements. Anything from improving communications to motivating staff through team building exercises. We'll provide you with innovative fundraising ideas, advice and support as well as the opportunity to see where the money goes and how you can make a difference.

Recycling schemes

RNIB's recycling schemes can help your company raise money to support our work and help the environment at the same time.

Become a corporate partner

Our highly professional, enthusiastic Corporate Partnerships team has a proven track record in understanding business priorities, matching these with RNIB opportunities and delivering what we promise. Many large companies have benefited from working in partnership with RNIB. Find out more about our corporate partnerships.

Help us campaign

RNIB is committed to ending the isolation of sight loss. Our campaigning work around employment issues seeks to educate employers, change government policy and improve support services.

Our latest campaign calls on the government to rethink their plans to change Employment Support Allowance and Incapacity Benefit. Blind people will lose £30 a week under new benefit regime.

You can support our campaign by writing to your MP. Together we can improve independence and inclusion for blind and partially sighted people in the workplace.

Stay up to date

Our work helps to influence the development of government policy in a number of areas relating to income and work. You can read our responses to the latest government reviews and consultations.
