What are tactile images, maps and signs and why should I use them?
Tactile images, maps and signage make visual information accessible to blind and partially sighted people.
Tactile images allow more people to appreciate pictures, museum pieces and educational images by bringing them to life through touch.
Accessible maps and signs ensure blind and partially sighted people can find their way around your shop, transport hub or park. This not only makes good business sense - it's a legal requirement to make sure your signage doesn't exclude people from accessing your services.
Who uses tactile images, maps and signs?
From CenterParcs to London Underground, a wide variety of organisations and professionals use accessible maps, signs and images to make their services accessible. They include teachers, retailers and museums as well organisations that provide navigational information, from leisure facilities to transport providers.
What are the options for accessible maps?

Can you help with braille signs?
Yes. We can turn sign text into braille by transcribing it into a 2D black dot braille pattern.
We can also proofread your braille by translating it back into text from artwork or a sample sign so you can check what you've designed.
How do I get tactile images created?
We offer a personalised service creating tactile images to help your customers understand your paintings, educational pictures or other images. You'll be working with the team who developed tactile images of the Crown Jewels and some of the UK's most important paintings.
