Thomas Pocklington Trust. It highlights the importance of lighting and how it can help create a safer home and allow people to make the most of their sight.
Increasing the number of individual lights within a room produces a more even spread of light helping to create a safer living environment. Our

Magnifiers
Our "Choosing your magnifier guide" was written to let people know about the different types of magnifiers available and the importance of having regular eye tests and a low vision assessment.
One of our customers said; "my mother is 97 and independent. She has Macula Degeneration in one eye and loves reading and watching TV. Since I gave her the guide she has had an eye test and new glasses. She knows she wants a times 6 magnifier but has yet to send up for it. She is partially sighted and should get the VAT discount but it is difficult for her to leave the house and go to the hospital to be assessed."
