About us

Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) is the leading charity offering information, support and advice to almost two million people with sight loss.

If you or a loved one has a sight problem, we can help. Not only with braille and the magic of Talking Books but with information and practical solutions to help you live with sight loss.

RNIB is an organisation of blind and partially sighted people, passionately committed to ending the isolation of sight loss. We campaign and carry out research on the issues that matter to you.

Right now we can only reach one in three people who need our help most. By getting involved you can help us reach more.

As a membership organisation we work together with our members to shape the future for people with sight loss.

As a Royal Charity, RNIB is governed by Royal Charter and Bye-Laws.

"If you're a member of RNIB you're in the know. You are not on the edges of an organisation; you're actually part of it." RNIB Member
