Improving staff efficiency and providing accessible information were just some of the outcomes of the ECLO. The author notes that given the increasing numbers of blind and partially sighted people in the UK and the costs associated of sight loss and blindness, the ECLO the role of ECLO offers commissioners and hospitals an opportunity to improve quality and services.
