New literature on sight problems

New literature on sight problems is a bi-monthly listing of new acquisitions within RNIB Research Library, and is aimed at anyone who needs to keep in touch with new material in this expanding field.

Listings include books, articles, government reports and papers and informally-published documents, with abstracts for key works, useful websites and book reviews. All of the items listed are available for loan or as photocopies from RNIB Research Library.

The material is divided into subject areas including:

  • medical and administrative aspects
  • education
  • rehabilitation
  • individual aspects and daily living
  • recreation and leisure
  • literature for and by blind people
  • special groups including deafblind people and people with multiple disabilities.

New literature on sight problems is published in clear print and email formats. It is available on subscription as part of the Current Awareness Service and is accompanied by information on RNIB training courses and events, Parliamentary update and Campaign news, RNIB annual reports and reviews, sector news and more.
