What is an ECLO?
The Eye Clinic Liaison Officer (ECLO) role is an integral part of the eye care pathway. Our ECLOs provide emotional support and signposting to newly diagnosed patients, so that they are able to maintain their independence, and access rehabilitation and other services.
The role of Eye Clinic Liaison Officer has developed over the past fourteen years in the UK, and is a big step forward in bridging the gap between health and social care services for blind and partially sighted people.
