Urgent Stamp Appeal

We are urging you to save your used stamps to help raise vital funds for blind and partially sighted people. With incidence of sight loss expected to double by 2050, the services and support provided by RNIB Cymru are needed more than ever. All funds raised will go towards offering information, support and advice to people with sight problems.

Joanne Williams, our Community Fundraising Executive, says: "Every day in Wales, five people start to lose their sight. By doing something as simple as sending us your used stamps, businesses, schools, clubs and societies and individual members of the public can make a real difference to the lives of blind and partially sighted people in Wales by helping to fund our services.

"RNIB Cymru provides a wide range of highly valued and much needed services in Wales: from emotional support to those newly diagnosed with sight loss, to adventure holidays for blind and partially sighted children, employment advice and 'talking book' services. In this difficult economic climate, funding is harder and harder to come by, making donations such as those received through the stamp appeal more vital than ever."

If you would like to take part and send us your used stamps, please leave at least half a centimetre of envelope around the stamp to prevent damage. All stamps are welcome and we can expect to receive £4.50 per kilogram for British stamps and £12.50 for foreign ones.

All stamps can be sent to: RNIB, PO Box 6198, Leighton Buzzard, LU7 9XT.
