Welsh Government plans for control of dogs - share your views

The Welsh Government is currently consulting on plans for new legislation on the control of dogs. Amongst other things, it would amend the Dangerous Dogs Act to make it an offence for a dog to attack another animal. This is being proposed specifically to deal with cases where a guide dog (or assistance dog) is attacked.

The Welsh Government is very keen to hear what blind and partially sighted people think about their proposals. You can download a copy of the consultation document from the Welsh Government website or ring them on 02920 826316 to request a copy. All the details on how to respond are included in the document.

If you would like to share your views with us, so we can include them in our response, please email Alexandra McMillan or call 029 2044 9583.
