Mad Hatter's Tea Party and Treasure Hunt for RNIB NI

On Saturday 20 October, Carnfunnock Country Park, Larne, County Antrim, was the scene for a great fun filled Family fund raiser.

The Alice in Wonderland themed event, organised by Laura Lennox, a parent of a child with sight loss, was to raise money for the Royal National Institute of Blind People Northern Ireland (RNIB NI's) Children and Youth Service.
The fun day coincided with RNIB's UK wide Read for RNIB Day, on Friday 19 October.

Over 60 People came along and really got in to the spirit of the day with some fabulous costumes on show. to date Laura has raised over £1700 from the event, and still counting.
Rosaleen Dempsey, RNIB NI Children and Youth Services Manager said,
"This was an amazing day. It's fund raising of this kind that allows us to continue supporting children and their families and also reach out to more and do more for others.
A huge thank you to Laura Lennox for organising a great fun day."

The event Began with a sponsored treasure hunt followed by a Mad Hatter's tea party and cake sale, face painting and activities in the family fun zone. There were also opportunities to win lots of spot prizes throughout the day!
