2012 was an amazing year for sport here at RNIB Northern Ireland. So many people got involved in the Olympic and Paralympic spirit, testing their physical stamina to the limit and often raising money for blind and partially sighted people along the way. Could you be a star in 2013?
2012 Highlights
Challenge 2020

Lighting the Paralympic flame
A group of scouts and mountaineers, both able bodied and disabled, climbed Slieve Donard, County Down, to light a paralympic flame from scratch, using flint and kindle, which became part of the official flame for the London 2012 Paralympic Games.
Climbing Ben Nevis
15 blind and partially sighted people took part in a nine hour climb and descent of the UK's highest peak. Find out about the gruelling conditions on Ben Nevis and what the experience was like for non-sighted climbers.
