Press Release issued: 18 August 2010.
Are you blind or partially sighted, or a friend or carer of someone who is?
Royal National Institute of Blind People (RNIB) Scotland is launching a new local service in the Borders and will be visiting towns across the region over the next two months to highlight how it can help.
The next visit will be to Peebles today, between 11am and 1.30pm.
People can meet RNIB Scotland staff and find out about what services, equipment and support are available to anyone who has impaired vision.
Vision support worker Lynda Boland and volunteer co-ordinator Alison Paton-Day will be happy to assist visitors at the awareness and information days.
* Lynda can also be contacted on 01890 883 380 or 07507 883 486, or email lynda.boland@rnib.org.uk.
