As a support worker at RNIB College Loughborough, you will assist in providing a 24 hour person-centred, holistic support service for blind and partially sighted learners and those with other disabilities, enabling progression towards independence.
You will provide intellectual, social, emotional and physical support for Learners, including personal care where required. Supporting learners with independent living skills, including preparation of meals, snacks, laundry and cleaning. You will also support learners with the administration of medication
You will have knowledge of the needs of disabled and/or
blind and partially sighted people.
You will have achieved or be willing to work towards Level 2 NVQ/QCF in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
Full training will be provided.
