We are launching a series of groundbreaking 'Sight' Seeing tours across the UK to give people a better understanding of what losing your sight can mean and show how people with sight loss experience the world around them and we need your help.
The limited edition tours will take place in London, Newcastle and Edinburgh, exploring the well-known tourist trails and the famous landmarks in each of the cities from the perspective of someone with sight loss.
Participants on each tour will wear specially created 'simulations spectacles' ('Sim Specs') to replicate the effects that different sight conditions can have and give an insight into the world of someone with sight loss.
We are looking for blind or partially sighted people to work with an experienced tour guide to lead the tours around each of the cities, exploring sites such as Buckingham Palace, the Angel of the North and Edinburgh Castle.
You may be a qualified or experienced tour guide yourself or you may just have a real passion and knowledge for one of the three areas. We would love to hear from you and use your experiences to raise awareness of the growing number of people losing their sight each day.
The tours will aim to give a unique insight into your world and encourage participants to use their other senses to experience their surroundings.
If you would like to be involved, please apply by sending an email to walkingtours@frankpr.it and telling us about your own experience and why you think you would make a great tour guide.
