RNIB comment on Don't Limit Mobility report

Dan Scorer, RNIB Parliamentary and Campaigns Manager says: "It is wrong to assume that people living in residential care do not participate in community life. Residential settings are diverse, providing care but also training to people of all ages and with a range of disabilities.

At RNIB we've heard concerns from blind and partially sighted residents worried about losing the DLA mobility payment they use to visit friends and family and do everyday things like shopping. Local authorities don't provide this transport so this cruel cut will isolate thousands of disabled people."
