Achievements

With the fantastic contribution of our volunteers, donors and staff, we are realising our ambition to make a real difference for blind and partially sighted people, as well as those at risk of losing their sight.

Here's an insight into what we achieved in the last year.

Stopping people losing their sight unnecessarily

This year we spent £3,405,000 reaching people most at risk of losing their sight with crucial eye health messages, and worked hard to ensure potentially sight-saving treatments are available to all.

Helping people stay independent

It is vital people with sight problems maintain their independence. This is why we have spent £88,271,000 this year on the services, support and solutions that enable people to remain independent.

Helping people stay included

This year we spent £10,136,000 working to improve the travel, shopping and banking experiences of people with sight problem. We also focused on developing better ways to read, watch TV and use technology.
