Since the middle of July, RNIB group of charities has been listening to the views of blind and partially sighted people and the professionals who work with or support people with sight loss as we look towards the future and determine where we should focus our efforts from 2014 onwards.
The closing date for giving us your views has now passed. Thank you to everyone who gave their views whether it was online, over the phone, or in person at a discussion group.
We are delighted with the response we have received and are confident that we have insights that we can act upon to ensure our next five year plan from 2014 will deliver lasting change for blind and partially sighted people.
The five year plan will be officially launched in April 2014 and we'll keep you informed of developments as the plan evolves.

UK Vision Strategy Refresh
RNIB group of charities supports the outcomes of the UK Vision Strategy, which sets the overall direction for eye health and sight loss services in the UK. The future plans of RNIB Group will directly support the UK Vision Strategy's aims. By listening to the groups of people we support and work with, we will identify the role RNIB Group should play in supporting those aims.
The UK Vision Strategy team has also been talking to its stakeholders to refresh its future plans. Thank you to all those who responded to the UK Vision Strategy refresh. Your responses will inform the refreshed UK Vision Strategy, which will be launched at the VISION 2020 UK Annual Vision Strategy Conference on 11 June 2013.
