Why be an RNIB Trustee?

RNIB's Board of Trustees takes an overview of the many exciting and important activities going on around RNIB.

RNIB is ambitious for the future. We've just launched our new strategy for 2009-2014, and one of our largest ever campaigns - Lost and Found. This five year campaign starts by asking people to consider what they would lose from their life if they lost their sight, and demonstrates how RNIB helps people find their lives again.

We want to end the isolation of sight loss. As a Trustee, you would be involved in key projects and decisions to help us make our aims a reality, such as:

Supporting children and adults with complex needs

RNIB Rushton School and Children's Home

RNIB Rushton School and Children's Home is now known as RNIB Pears Centre for Specialist Learning, as part of a major redevelopment due for completion in 2012. Pears Foundation is a leading funder of autism and other specialist education in the UK and has invested over £1million in the redevelopment .
