What's it really like being a blind or partially sighted mum?

“When I hear my children talk about my sight to their friends, they always say that ‘Mummy’s eyes are not working.’ It’s just a fact for them, but it doesn’t cause a problem.” - Madleen

People sometimes have misconceptions of what parenting is really like when you are blind or partially sighted. So as part of our #HowISee series of films, we asked blind mums Hetal, Madleen and Rachael to share their experiences and some of the ways that they are able to be a mum to their children exactly as sighted mums are.

We also got their kids in on the action - watch our film to find out why they think their mummies are so brilliant.

Show your support for all mums by sharing our film on Facebook or Twitter
