Your previous Key Campaigner actions

Thank you for taking action!

On this page you will find your previous two Key Campaigner actions. We would like to thank all of our Key Campaigners that have taken action on our priority campaigns, your work makes a massive difference!

December 2015 - Make voting accessible for all

Thanks so much to all of you who handed our leaflet on NHS England’s new Accessible Information Standard to your GP Surgery. We’ve had to order another 1,500 leaflets due to such high demand! Since then, GPs across England have been in touch with us to ask for more information about how they can meet the new standard and make sure that they’re providing information in a format that their blind and partially sighted patients can read. So thank you for your fantastic efforts. The standard came into force in July 2016, and we’ve been working hard to make sure that it’s properly implemented.

August 2015 - Protect out of work support

In August 2015, we asked you to write to your MP to prevent the proposed £30 a week cut to Employment and Support Allowance for future claimants placed in the Work-Related Activity Group. Almost 300 of you took action to protect this out of work support - thank you to everyone who got involved. While we may not have been able to stop the cut, we kept the issue as a top priority among the opposition, defeated the Government twice, gained significant press coverage and of course supported over 100 disabled people to meet with their MPs in Parliament. We’re so grateful for your support.
