New Year Resolutions for 2018

It's that time of year again....I've put on weight , drunk too much and I'm broke. So my resolutions for the New Year are to eat less and exercise more, not drink, and save some money! But will I keep to them? I'll let you know. What are your resolutions for 2018?

My New Year's resolution this year is the same as the last few:

Not to make resolutions I can't keep and not to pick the beginning of the year as an arbitrary time to resolve to do something.

The question is - if I do well at it am I actually doing badly?

I always make the same resolution every year, and that is to be nice to everyone.

New Year’s Resolutions

This year I didn’t set my resolutions properly until mid-January but I have taken them quite seriously. I have written them on my kitchen cupboard so I can see them every day in black and white. I have also put quarterly resolution reviews in my calendar, also on my kitchen cupboard.

My main resolution is to complete something called the Self Authoring Suite developed by a Canadian Professor of Psychology; Jordan Peterson. It is essentially a series of guided writing exercises that aim to understand more fully present faults and virtues, past experiences and future goals.

I have divided my smaller resolutions into major areas of my life
• Personal
• Friends and family
• Work
• Finances
• Health

All this might seem quite serious but I have appraisals at work. If I have to answer to my manager at work, how much more important is it to answer to myself at home?

Lose weight and grab all of life’s wonderful opportunities that come my way. Those are 2 of my New Year’s resolutions. Happy new year to you all anyway. :)
