Housing help where needed
It's a sad fact that within a year of being registered blind, only 23 per cent of people say that they are offered mobility training to help get them around independently.
That's why our six regional housing co-ordinators give invaluable help to those living with sight loss. In many ways they are the unsung heroes of our organisation, providing one-to-one assistance with domestic and accommodation issues of every kind.
Imagine how moving around your home would feel if you were blind. Our housing co-ordinators offer advice and help to make life at home easier and more comfortable; from practical adaptations and home safety to reducing fuel bills and staying warm. Without this help, many blind and partially sighted people would find life much harder. We can only do this with support from people like you.
