What's going on at RNIB?
Help us reach the people who need us most
‘I Am Here’, our campaign, focuses on what a frightening and bewildering time diagnosis is and how RNIB sight loss advisers want to say ‘I am here’ to everyone who needs them.

We're going on a Bear Hunt
Walker Books and Read for RNIB Day are celebrating 25 years of 'We’re Going on a Bear Hunt' with the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ record attempt for the world’s largest reading lesson.
At 10am on Tuesday 15 July 2014 we will be hosting The Biggest Ever Bear Hunt reading lesson with Michael Rosen, former Children's Laureate and the author of the beloved picture book.
This ‘real life’ bear hunt will take the form of a curriculum approved reading lesson created by education specialists "Yellow Door", which will be fully accessible to children who are blind or partially sighted, so that they can go on the adventure with their friends and classmates too.
Over 1,000 school children will come together at Charter Hall, Colchester, to take part in this unique fun-packed Bear Hunt reading lesson created especially for the occasion! Kids across the UK can also take part at their schools or nurseries via a live web stream of the main event, which will be broadcast online.
