Remember a Charity

Remember a Charity in your Will Week 7 - 13 September 2015

Every day, people do extreme things for good causes like ours - sky diving, mountain climbing or marathon running to name a few.

During this week’s Remember a Charity in your Will Week we want to let you know that you don’t need to go to extremes to help your favourite charity, simply leaving a gift in your Will is legendary enough.

That's why, as a member of Remember a Charity, we are taking part in Remember a Charity in your Will Week, to help raise awareness of the importance of gifts left in Wills.

We can only reach one in three of the people who need our help the most

All of our services rely on voluntary income and a third is only possible thanks to people remembering us in their Will.

With your help, we can ensure our practical and emotional support will continue to help people who are blind and partially sighted to face the future with confidence – particularly at the point of diagnosis. For someone to talk to, technology to live independently or advice on staying in work, we will be here.

There’s a legend in all of us

Sky-diving, rock-climbing, wing-walking or including a charity in your Will, there's a legend in all of us.

During the Week, you too can become a living legend by leaving a gift of a lifetime to help us be there for blind and partially sighted people who will need our help in the future. Almost two million people in the UK are currently living with sight loss and by 2050, this will nearly double.

It's a common myth that you have to be wealthy to leave a gift in your Will to help us, but nothing could be further from the truth. After taking care of family and friends, you’ll be amazed at what one, final gift, no matter how big or small, can do. Together, we can make every day better for everyone affected by sight loss.
