How do I play the Weekly Lottery?

Simply choose the number of chances you'd like per week, then fill in the online entry form to set up your Direct Debit, or alternatively download and print our printable Direct Debit form (Word, 304 KB) and post it back to us at the address below.
We will send you a player's pack within 14 days of receipt of your entry. Your pack will include further information about the Weekly Lottery, your unique draw number(s) and a copy of the rules. Please keep your pack in a safe place for your records.

You can take part in the Weekly Lottery for as many weeks as you wish. If you want to cancel at any time all you need to do is get in touch with us or your bank

Can I play for a fixed period of time?

The Weekly Lottery involves a simple monthly Direct Debit payment. We don't accept payments or cheques for a fixed period of time, but you can set up and cancel your Direct Debit at any time. If you wish, you can also pay for your Weekly Lottery with a quarterly or annual Direct Debit payment.

Will I get a lottery number?

Yes, we will send you your unique lottery number in the post shortly after you sign up. This is your number for every week you take part in our Weekly Lottery. If you sign up for one chance a week, you will get one unique number, if you sign up for two chances a week, you will get two unique numbers etc.

How often does the Weekly Lottery draw take place?

The Weekly Lottery draw takes place every week, on a Friday.

How will I know if I’ve won a Weekly Lottery prize?

If you are a prize winner you'll receive a letter from us within 14 days of the draw. The list of winners will be published on our website the next working day after the draw.

How will I receive my Weekly Lottery prize?

We will transfer the winning money directly into your account or send you a cheque, depending on how you pay for your Weekly Lottery chances.

How many winners are there each week?

There are fifty prizes every week. The first prize is £1,000, second prize is £250, then three winners will receive £100 each and 45 winners will receive £10 each. Three times a year we will hold a Super Draw.

How do I cancel my Weekly Lottery direct debit?

How does the Super Draw work?

For one week, three times a year, we run a Super Draw where the first prize is £10,000 for that draw only. The Super Draws take place in August, December and March. It doesn't matter how long you've been playing the Weekly Lottery, you will still qualify to take part in the Super Draw.

Why is my monthly cost £4.34?

If you pay for one chance a week, the monthly cost breakdown for playing the Weekly Lottery is £4.34. This is based on paying £1 per week over a 52 week year. Your Direct Debit will only be collected once a month. Sometimes there are five weeks in a month and the additional £0.34p is to build up credit to cover the fifth week in these five-week months.

What day is my Direct Debit collected?

The collection day for your Direct Debit is either the 1st or 15th of the month, or the nearest working day.

Are my Weekly Lottery payments eligible for Gift Aid?

Your Weekly Lottery payments are not eligible for Gift Aid.

Do you accept entries from syndicates?

RNIB's Weekly Lottery is aimed at individuals. However if you wish to represent a syndicate and act on behalf of them, we would accept your personal details. All winnings would be paid into your account.

Who can enter the Weekly Lottery?

All players must be 16 years of age or older and residents of Great Britain to play RNIB's Weekly Lottery. For further information, please read our terms and conditions.
