Our Eye Health Information Service can help you to understand how your eye condition will affect you and what can be done to help.
At some point you’re bound to have questions about your eye condition. Maybe you or someone you care for has just been diagnosed with a sight problem and you are trying to make sense of what you’ve been told by your specialist. Perhaps you’ve been living with a sight condition for some time and have heard about a new treatment that’s become available. Our friendly, trained advisers can take the time to answer your eye health questions in clear and simple language, including questions about:
Our service is completely confidential and you can contact us anonymously if you wish to.
After we’ve spoken to you on the phone or answered your email, we can send you information in your preferred format to support the advice we’ve given to you.
We offer many other advice and support services at RNIB. If it seems that you could benefit from our other services, with your permission we will refer you to them.
Call us through the Helpline on 0303 123 9999 from Monday to Friday 9am to 4.30pm. Outside these times, or if our phone lines are busy, leave us a message and we'll get back to you as soon as possible.
Calls cost no more than a standard rate call to an 01 or 02 number, and count towards any inclusive minutes in the same way as 01 and 02 calls. The price of calls varies between different providers, including between landline and mobile companies, so check with your provider if you are unsure.
