Eye health campaigning
Yorkshire and humber
On 13 March 2014 we took the Eye Pod to a meeting of the Governing Body for Barnsley NHS Clinical Commissioning Group. The event was a great success and helped to cement a commitment from commissioners to include sight loss data in their future assessments of the health needs of the population.

Visitors to the Pod including commissioners, local residents and NHS staff viewed simulations of the four most common causes of sight loss and were given information about eye health and RNIB’s campaigns. Members of the Barnsley Vision strategy group also joined us at the event and presented at the meeting.
