Hardest Hit Day of Action - London

More than 250 disabled people gathered together to hold a rally outside City Hall in London. Protesters held banners branded with 'Don't box me in', 'Betrayed' and 'PM says scrounger, doctor says Parkinsons'. One campaigner held a big cardboard box with 'Don't look down on me' scrawled on it.

Speakers included Jennette Arnold, AM for North East London and Chair of the London Assembly, who shouted 'Shame on you David Cameron and
Nick Clegg' to roars from the crowd and also Cllr Darren Johnson AM.

Wheelchair user Sean McGovern also spoke at the event saying: "The Government has promised that its cuts would not harm the poor, or disabled people, but their actions show us just how hollow those words have been."
