Passenger assistance on London Underground

Campaigners have been gathering evidence of the impact that reduced London Underground staffing levels have had on the support for visually impaired tube travellers.

A meeting with a senior member of the Greater London Authority and a senior manager at Transport for London has been called. Crucially, campaigners will use this opportunity to present the evidence collected (for example, stations which are no longer staffed later in the evening), and seek reassurances that there will be enough staff to support blind and partially sighted people who need assistance while using the Underground.

Please do continue to keep us updated on your experiences, as we are anticipating a long term dialogue with Transport for London on this matter.

Right now we can only reach one in three of the people who need our help most.
