Congratulations and Good Luck to Claire Parker

Volunteer Campaign Coordinator Claire Parker has made it through to the interview stage for the Speakers Parliamentary Placement Scheme. This is a huge achievement as it means out of 500 initial applicants she is one of the last 25 people left in the process.

Claire was interviewed by the Chief Executive of the Social Market Foundation who administer the scheme and will find out this month if she has been one of the ten successful candidates for this year.

The scheme, an initiative of Members of Parliament Hazel Blears, Eric Ollerenshaw and Jo Swinson, offers ten paid internships to individuals from diverse backgrounds and helps to make access to and experience of Parliament representative of the UK population.

Best of luck to Claire in this final stage of her application!
