Raising Eye Health up the Agenda

North West Eye Health Ambassador, Don Mulryan, recently arranged a meeting with Wirral Council, to talk about the impact of sight loss and how important it is for local authorities to put plans in place to meet the needs of blind and partially sighted people.

Don's reception was warmly welcomed and this has opened the door for us to do further work with this authority, particularly around their Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA). we are hoping to meet with them again in late June.

Another Eye Health Ambassador Marie Nicklin, recently attended the parliamentary launch of the Save Our Sight campaign and talked to MPs about the importance of accessing early diagnosis and treatment for conditions such as cataracts and glaucoma.
