Tackling the built environment on Merseyside

An increasing number of people in Liverpool are reporting to us problems they are encountering with wheelie bins being placed in the middle of the pavement after they have been emptied. We are in the process of gathering evidence and will be raising this issue with the council very soon.

In another part of Merseyside, concerns have been raised about the number of advertising-boards that are inappropriately placed outside shops and cafes, causing a trip hazard to pedestrians. Again, we will be working with the council in an attempt to minimise the impact of A-boards on blind and partially sighted people.
