Proposals could create 'no-go' area in Brighton

Campaigners in Brighton have been challenging Brighton and Hove City Council over proposals to redevelop a busy roundabout. The Council intends to remove all controlled crossing points and replace them with zebra crossings.

Local campaigners warn this could make Seven Dials a 'no-go area' for visually impaired people. Our Brighton Volunteer Campaign Coordinator Diane Marks and her Guide Dog Thomas recently met with Ian Davey, Chair of the local Transport Committee, to highlight her concerns.
