A number of new campaign volunteers joined us in the South East over the past few months. We are pleased to welcome Neville Butteriss, Michelle Ross, Aaron Ross and Nadine Jackson from Maidstone, Brian Anderson from South Hampton and Laura Crump from Margate to the Volunteer Campaign Coordinator role.
Neville Butteriss is currently working on a campaign to rid Kent of A-boards and has obtained widespread local support for his campaign.
Also in Kent, Michelle Ross is campaigning for the introduction of a Charity Ombudsman to handle complaints into the conduct of charities working with vulnerable people.
Elsewhere in the region campaigners have been very active inviting their MPs to join them on blindfold walks to raise awareness for the PIP campaign. We hope to see a number of MPs from the area take up this challenge as the next vote on PIP criteria approaches.
