Devon campaign for a safer crossing

Samantha Van Bussell our Volunteer Campaign Coordinator in Devon is campaigning to get a road crossing installed near her home.

It is a very busy road which leads to the local supermarket, doctors surgery, hospital and college so getting a safe crossing installed will make life easier for all blind and partially sighted people living in the area.

Samantha is currently collecting signatures from local residents and shops for a petition which she plans to present to the council, she said, "the campaign is going well, but it always takes longer then you think. Lots of people have been very supportive. Having the road crossing is the difference between having independence and not having independence".
