23 January 2013 - Meeting with First Bus in the South West
On Tuesday 23 January, our Campaigns Officer for the South West Tara Melton, met with First Bus. This meeting was to discuss the holding of 'Swap with me events' across the South West. It is hoped that the events will take place during April and May. Planning work will now commence and volunteer campaign coordinators will take the lead in working with First to put on the events.
First Bus and RNIB in the South West have worked together in past, in 2012 First met with blind and partially sighted people in Bristol and St Austell's to discuss buses and some of the difficulties faced by blind and partially sighted people.
