Worrying developments in Plymouth

Plymouth council has been given the go head to continue with the redevelopment of Plymouth. The recent redevelopment of West End in Plymouth has seen pedestrian crossing removed and some of the surfaces replaced with cobbled bricks. A number of local blind, partially sighted and other disabled people are unhappy with these changes which they say has effectively made it a no go area for many people.

We're working with local disability groups to challenge these changes and would like meaningful consultation on the redevelopment of Plymouth. If you live in Plymouth or use Plymouth town centre and would like to be involved then please email Tara Melton on tara.melton@rnib.org.uk.
