Hardest Hit Day of Action - West Midlands

Over 300 people gathered in Victoria Square to support the Hardest Hit campaign and listen to local disabled people and carers share their experience and fears over cuts to benefits. Former MP Sion Simon and Jack Dromey, MP for Birmingham Erdington, inspired the crowd with impassioned speeches about their opposition to the way cuts to benefits are being implemented.

"Disabled people want to be full members of society, but objects are put in the way. We might have made some progress in the last 20 years with the Disability Discrimination Act, but we are now going backwards as a country" said Jack Dromey MP.
