Campaigners arrange MP meetings to discuss Personal Independence Payment

RNIB Campaigners from the West Midlands recently met with a number of MPs to raise their concerns over Government proposals for Personal Independence Payment (PIP).

Meetings were held with Chris White - MP for Warwick and Leamington in conjunction with Warwickshire Association for the Blind, Jack Dromey MP for Birmingham Erdington and Lorely Burt, MP for Solihull. Media coverage of the meeting and the wider issue of concerns around PIP criteria featured on ITV Central - RCO and VCC Sharon Gibbs were interviewed for the piece.

In follow up to the meeting with Jack Dromey MP, a letter has been constructed with RNIB to be taken to David Cameron by Jack on behalf of his constituents, which outlines the main concerns regarding the PIP criteria.
