Fighting to save the bus pass in Stoke

The RCO for the West Midlands has been working with Action for Blind People in Stoke on Trent to challenge Stoke on Trent City council's decision to remove free travel before 9.30am for concessionary pass holders in the city.

Redevelopment work at Birmingham New Street Station

Rebecca has recently met with members of staff from the Gateway team at Network Rail about the re-development of the station regarding, including the closure of several areas around the station in the next month.

New Birmingham transport forum

Local campaigner Mike Hughes has organised a Special Needs Transport Forum in Birmingham with representatives of various disabled groups and major transport providers.

Working with West Midlands Police Force

Rebecca and a Volunteer Campaign Coordinator (VCCO) for the Dudley areaworked with West Midlands Police to develop sight loss awareness amongst front line staff within the force. Dudley Access Solutions are now taking this forward.

Losing Patients campaign in Dudley - Latest news

Dudley PCT sent out a survey asking patients in their area for their preferred format and have received around 500 responses. The results have now been collated and the RNIB will be working with the PCT to finalise an action plan to take this forward
