Sadly, Wendy has lost her short battle with cancer and died on Saturday 24 September. Her family were with her.
Wendy was one of the first RNIB volunteer campaign co-ordinators in the Yorkshire and Humber area, having started in March 2009.
Being a campaigner gave Wendy the confidence to tackle local issues and support the national agenda through parliamentary visits and regular local MP briefings. She was always an enthusiastic and determined campaigner, making good use of her creative and organisational skills.
Wendy often said that being a campaigner gave her the chance to make a difference for others.
We shall miss her.
